AngloGold Ashanti donates

After  Just Commit Foundation and PA-YAS Foundation called for help for the Research Utilization School for the Deaf in Obuasi via the Radio and Television coverage, AngloGold  Ashanti has donated household gadgets worth ₵Gh 5,000 to support the students and Staff of the Research Utilization School for the Deaf at Obuasi.

Clean up Exercise

On 7th May, 2016, the founders and some members of PA-YAS Foundation took part in the National Clean Up Exercise at Tutuka,  Obausi to remove all the waste materials chocking the gutters.

The aim was to create space for flow of waste water to prevent stagnation of water that served as breeding Sites for Mosquitoes.

Overview

PAYAS NEW LOGO

PA-YAS FOUNDATION is a  non-profit, educational, civil and social organization established on 12th Oct, 2013 at Obuasi by Agorsor Worlanyo Emmanuel with six children. PAYAS now has over 50 active youth. The organization has two co-ordinators- Mr Emmanuel Worlanyo Agorsor and Mr. Janix Kwabena Asare.

WHAT WE DO (ACTIVITIES)

  1. We organize educational and counselling programs for the youth on patriotism, citizenship, responsibilities, good moral and ethical values.
  2. We provide scholarships to cater for brilliant and talented but less privileged children to reduce streetism, child labour and teenage pregnancy
  3. We organize mentorship training to develop the youth skills and talent
  4. We organize Drama, Educational Trips, Quizzes and debating competition to keep the youth learned, adventurous and motivated.
  5. We organize or participate in games and clean up exercise to keep the youth physically active

Through PA-YAS FOUNDATION  over 100 youth have been taught through free vacation classes, received moral counselling and mentorship. Five of the brilliant and talented but needy youth currently hold scholarship worth 1000 Ghana Cedis to study at their schools. At least 10 cases of rape, vandalism, money rituals, murder attempt, teenage pregnancy and child abuse have been dealt with by the organization in Obuasi.
